Eligibility matching, income estimates and letter drafting run on your device.
General research tools do not create a government or charity application record.
Only a submitted inquiry or a message you send through your email client leaves your browser.
ApplyFreeCar.com publishes free transportation-assistance research. The current website's calculators and letter tools are designed to operate in your browser. Contact messages are different: if the hosted email service is active and you submit the form, your message is transmitted for handling. Web hosting can also generate technical security logs. Advertising and analytics practices must be reviewed whenever those services are enabled.
ApplyFreeCar.com is operated by CivicMobility Assistance Media LLC, 1201 N Market St, Suite 111-M, Wilmington, DE 19801, United States. This policy explains the information involved when you browse our pages, use research tools, or contact the editorial team.
We publish independent research about donated vehicles, transportation support, benefit-related assistance and publicly described nonprofit programs. We are not a federal or state agency and do not maintain an official charity, TANF, SNAP, VA or DMV application system.
Contact us at compliance@applyfreecar.com for privacy questions. This policy describes the website version and planned hosted contact integration; deployment-specific advertising, analytics and hosting settings must be checked against the production system.
Reading our guides and using basic eligibility or cost tools does not require an account, sign-in or government benefit number. A visitor who chooses to contact us may provide a name, reply email, US state, inquiry category and the message they type. Those details are used to understand and answer the inquiry, route it to the relevant department and investigate legitimate program corrections or reported scams.
Never send an SSN, EBT PIN, Medicaid number, driver's license number, financial account details, payment card data, passwords or unredacted benefit and medical records. We do not need those items to review an informational question.
Details you voluntarily include in a message may be visible to the receiving mailbox and its email provider. Keep personal background information to the minimum needed for your question.
The free-car eligibility matcher, household income/Federal Poverty Guideline estimator, application-preparation tools and hardship or caseworker letter generators are built to calculate or format answers in your browser. Their ordinary entries are not sent to a separate eligibility database by those tools.
A generated letter may be copied, downloaded, printed or forwarded by you. Once you save, print, email or share a document, the destination device, recipient or application controls what happens next. We cannot erase files that you have downloaded or messages you have sent to someone else.
Using an informational tool does not create a pending charity application, caseworker referral, government benefits claim or entitlement to a vehicle. For an official application, follow the receiving provider's published instructions.
On the local development preview, the Contact Us form cannot deliver email automatically. When a hosted Cloudflare Pages contact endpoint is configured, submitting that form transmits your name, email, state, category and message to our contact service. The service checks the fields for misuse and forwards accepted inquiries through Resend to the department responsible for the inquiry. An email provider and the receiving business mailbox may hold copies under their respective services and retention practices.
Form categories route general questions to support, waitlist and corrections to editorial, nonprofit listing requests to programs, and privacy or scam concerns to compliance. If the endpoint is unavailable, the site can offer an optional email draft. A draft is not sent unless you send it through your own email application.
The contact service uses limited anti-abuse data such as a network address for rate limiting. It is designed to keep a hashed rate-limit key briefly in the hosting provider's KV service rather than maintaining a separate applicant dossier. That short-lived key is different from technical logs or emails that other providers may retain.
Servers, content delivery networks and security services may process technical information necessary to deliver the site, including IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from a network connection, requested page, referral information, time, response status and error or abuse indicators.
Cloudflare or another deployed hosting provider may use this information for caching, network protection, diagnostics and abuse prevention. Such logs are separate from the client-side eligibility inputs described above. We do not use technical logs as proof that someone qualifies for benefits or has applied for a vehicle.
The exact host, security controls and retention periods depend on the production deployment and should be reconciled with this policy before launch. We do not promise that internet transmission or email is risk-free.
The current static site build does not bundle Google AdSense ad tags. If advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, manage frequency and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Third-party vendors including Google may use visits to this and other websites in their advertising systems.
Older DoubleClick privacy notices refer to the DART cookie. DART is historical terminology; it should not be read as proof that a particular legacy cookie is operating on this site. Current Google advertising can involve cookies associated with Google or DoubleClick domains, and actual behavior depends on the tags, account configuration and visitor consent.
Visitors may review advertising choices through Google My Ad Center and, for participating providers, aboutads.info. Any future advertising deployment must include required notices and consent or opt-out controls where applicable. See Google's publisher privacy requirements.
Our built-in site search uses a locally generated index of the website's 14 pages. Searching the site does not require sending a query to an outside search engine. Essential browser or hosting technologies may still be used to deliver and protect pages.
Our articles link to external nonprofit organizations, government portals and occasional third-party resources. When you follow an outside link, the destination can collect data under its own privacy notice. We do not control third-party application forms, waitlists, account creation, cookies or collection practices.
Social-network embeds, analytics packages, ad scripts or other third-party tools must not be assumed active solely because they are discussed here. If the website later enables them, the operator must review the actual processing, provider contracts and required user choices.
We do not operate a marketplace selling contact inquiries or applicant lists. Information sent to us may be shared with contracted providers that deliver or secure the website and communications, and may be disclosed if required by law or necessary to investigate credible misuse or protect rights and safety.
A voluntary email to our team does not authorize us to submit your information to every charity in a region. We will not treat an editorial inquiry as permission to file a government application in your name. Do not enter sensitive information into free-text fields.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: If a privacy law applies to the operator and you wish to raise an objection, contact compliance@applyfreecar.com. If future advertising or data uses constitute regulated sale or sharing, the business must implement the applicable opt-out interface and honor qualifying preference signals, rather than relying on this email statement alone.
California's CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, provides eligible residents rights that can include knowing what information is collected and shared, requesting access or deletion, correcting inaccurate information, opting out of sale or qualifying sharing, limiting certain uses of sensitive information, and protection from discrimination for exercising applicable rights. Similar but not identical privacy rights may apply in other US states.
Those rights and business obligations depend on the applicable law and whether it covers the organization and the particular processing. We will review a request based on applicable requirements and may need proportionate verification before releasing or deleting personal information. Please do not send an unredacted ID document in an initial request.
To request access, correction, deletion or a privacy review, write to compliance@applyfreecar.com or use the contact options below. You may also consult the State of California's privacy-rights overview.
We aim to limit the information requested to what is reasonably useful for responding to an editorial inquiry. The contact endpoint includes input checks and spam controls, but security depends on the deployed hosting environment, secure configuration, recipient mailbox access and vendors.
Contact messages may remain in email systems for correspondence, recordkeeping, safety reviews and legal obligations. Hosting providers may retain technical logs under their own schedules. We do not publish a fixed number of retention days that has not been established and implemented; retention schedules must be set and documented in production operations.
No website or email provider can promise absolute security. If you believe you have submitted confidential information in error, contact the compliance desk promptly with the minimum detail needed to locate your inquiry.
ApplyFreeCar.com is intended for adults seeking transportation information, not for children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal information or create accounts.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and the FTC's COPPA Rule may apply when a covered service collects information from children; they require additional protections in qualifying circumstances. If a parent or guardian believes that a child submitted information to our contact channel, please write to compliance@applyfreecar.com so we can evaluate the issue and appropriate action.
Read the FTC's children's privacy resources for more information.
This website primarily addresses US vehicle assistance and eligibility requirements. If you access it from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where the hosting and email service providers operate.
Where laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply, individuals may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or portability, subject to legal conditions. Please use our compliance contact to raise a request. The legal basis and international transfer requirements for any future deployment must be assessed against the services actually enabled.
We may change this policy to reflect new functionality, a different hosting or email provider, advertising, security needs or changes in applicable law. When material practices change, the operator should update the date, description and required visitor notices before the changed collection begins.
